Information about the wells & watchtowers history society

The Well & Towers History Society was founded in 1986 with £100.00 won by the Well & Towers Village Magazine in the Village Ventures Competition for Buckinghamshire. It aims to collect, conserve and distribute information about the village’s past and to record current village events.

Thanks to a Heritage Lottery Grant the village now has an Archive Room in the Sports Pavilion, Hulton Drive which is managed by the History Society. The Archive covers People, Places, Organizations and Events.

The Society has bimonthly talks on local history, one of which is a Sausage Supper with an annual review of village activities. Twice a Year the Society publishes a Newsletter.

Individual Membership is £5.00 and Family Membership £7.00, payable annually.
A Standing Order Form is available.

Membership benefits are free access to most talks, two newsletters a year, reduced tickets for the popular Sausage Supper and other ticketed events. In order to have a good supply of photos for next year’s
Review of the Year, please continue taking them.
