Information about the pavilion

Emberton playing fields and sports pavilion are owned by Emberton Parish Council, but managed by two separate committees.

The Sports and Recreation Committee oversees maintenance and hire of the outdoor space including the football pitches and award-winning cricket field. A number of sports clubs and teams regularly use our fabulous grounds meaning that it is often in use, particularly at weekends.   Football and cricket enquiries should be directed to the clerk clerk@embertonparishcouncil.gov.uk

The indoor space of the pavilion or ‘pav’ is managed by the Emberton Sports and Social Club committee. It is regularly booked by, and for a whole range of community groups and activities; from Pilates and yoga, to art, history, music for pre-schoolers and exercise classes for seniors – we really do have something for everyone!

On a sunny day, the pav has wonderful views across the field and with room for up to 80 people so it is a great venue. It is used throughout the year for village events such as our fete and pantomime, but can also be booked for private functions. Our busy bookings schedule means that availability can sometimes be limited, and as a general rule, we no longer accept bookings for parties. However the committee will consider requests on a ‘by exception’ basis, with priority being given to Embertonians, due to villagers automatically being Sports and Social Club members.
